DESIGN DIFFUSION NEWS INTERIOR MAGAZINE n°261

We keep on showcasing the beautiful design which characterized both ‘Made in Italy’ and international projects. Milano Design City - from September 28th, to October, 10th - gave the opportunity to visit showrooms and other design-dedicated sites, allowing meetings, updating and debates within the design world. Events, round tables, exhibition of brand-new or well-known products, enlivened the two weeks of the Milan event. Particular attention was paid to sustainability and circular economy, to redesign and redevelopment of urban spaces and technological innovation. The goal to focus on the ‘Italian design system’ in a such a complex period, was a great success and took to concrete and well-visible results, that we show you in these pages.
A sofa with considerable volumes and forms, characterized by rounded shapes recalling the smooth tobi-ishi stones from which it takes its name: The Tobi sofa, a new design icon by Elena Trevisan, entirely made in Italy by Rexite, expresses a timeless elegance. Supported by four legs of natural or lacquered solid wood, Tobi has a solid wood frame, removable wool and velvet covers, upholstery in leather, faux leather, even made with recycled PET collected from the ocean. These are the ingredients of this collection of sofas available in three sizes, perfect for any kind of space, from homes to hotels, from offices to lounges. Rexite, a historic design brand founded in 1968, operating in over 60 countries, has always been a standard bearer for Italian design and craftsmanship.
